How often should I get an alignment?
Once a year is a reasonable baseline, and immediately after any hard pothole impact or any steering or suspension repair. Detroit roads shorten that interval for a lot of drivers. The cheapest sign to watch is your tyres: if one edge is wearing faster than the other, the alignment is already out.
Can a flat tyre be repaired or does it need replacing?
It depends where the puncture is. A nail in the middle tread area can be properly repaired with a patch-plug from the inside. Damage in the sidewall or the shoulder cannot be safely repaired, and neither can a tyre that has been driven flat, because the internal structure is already broken down. We will show you what we find.
Why do my new tires already look worn on one side?
The alignment is out, and it was probably out before the new tyres went on. Camber wear shows on one edge, toe wear feathers across the tread. Either way the tyre is being dragged rather than rolled. Get an alignment done with new tyres and you get the mileage you paid for.
